  "body": "\u003cp\u003eIn order to comply with NIS2, DENIC, the registry for .de, has introduced new registrant verification requirements,\neffective April 14, 2026.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003ch2 id=\"whats-changing\"\u003eWhat’s changing\u003c/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eRisk-based verification can result in domain deletion.\u003c/strong\u003e\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDENIC will begin flagging potentially invalid or suspicious registrant data and require it to be verified.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHere\u0026rsquo;s how the process will work:\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWhen a registrant\u0026rsquo;s data is flagged, they will receive an email requesting that they use the link provided to upload the verification documents.\nIf they don\u0026rsquo;t provide the verification documents within 30 days:\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cul\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eTheir domain(s) will be suspended (DNS will stop working).\u003c/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eTheir domain(s) will enter a 90-day quarantine period.\u003c/li\u003e\n\u003c/ul\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDuring the 90-day quarantine, they can complete verification to lift the suspension and reactivate their domain.\nIf verification is not completed within 90 days, all associated domain names \u003cstrong\u003ewill be permanently deleted\u003c/strong\u003e.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003ch2 id=\"how-to-correct-inaccurate-data\"\u003eHow to correct inaccurate data\u003c/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOnce a registrant has been flagged for verification, any inaccurate data can be corrected by processing:\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cul\u003e\n\u003cli\u003ean owner change (in cases where the email address must be changed or the registrant name must be substantially modified)\u003c/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003ea contact update (in cases where a minor change to the registrant name or other data must be made)\u003c/li\u003e\n\u003c/ul\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOnce the data has been updated, the new data must be verified within the original 30-day period.\nFailed email verification may trigger risk-based verification.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eStarting April 14, 2026, if a registrant fails to complete email verification, it may trigger an expedited risk-based verification process:\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cul\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eThe registrant will have 7 days (rather than 30) to provide the requested verification documents.\u003c/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eAfter 7 days, the domain will be suspended and enter the 90-day quarantine period if verification has not been completed.\u003c/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eAt the end of the 90-day quarantine period, all associated domain names will be permanently deleted.\u003c/li\u003e\n\u003c/ul\u003e\n\u003ch2 id=\"get-support\"\u003eGet support\u003c/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIf you receive an email asking you to verify your details and do not know how to proceed, reach out to our support service\nby emailing \u003ca href=\"mailto:contact@sr2.uk\"\u003econtact@sr2.uk\u003c/a\u003e.\u003c/p\u003e\n",
